There were 27 Christmas Carolers from the Crockett Road Church of Christ who visited Legacy at Town Creek nursing home on December 19, 2018 to sing Christmas carols for the residents.
After they finished singing, they went to the home of Alison and Doug Rader for hot chocolate and cookies. We appreciate everyone who participated in singing carols for the residents. It certainly made their Christmas better!
We really appreciate Doug and Alison for opening their to everyone for hot chocolate and cookies and for all they do for the Crockett Road Chuch of Christ.

The Church had it's annual Christmas Party on December 4, 2018. We had over 200 who attended the luncheon. The decorations were hand made by Sandy Singleterry, and they were beautiful! Each Christmas Tree table centerpiece was unique, and Sandy gave them away as door prizes to those who had a lucky number taped to the bottom of their chair. Doug Sumrall provided a wonderful meal of brisket, link sausage, turkey, potato salad, and beans. Everything was delicious!
After the delicious meal, the Bible Hour group put on a play about the birth of Jesus. It was wonderful! Clint Satterwhite built a huge stage for the play (as well as the props) to bring the story to life. It was really amazing! Each and every child knew their lines, and the play was wonderful!
After the play was over, Santa Clause came and brought gifts for the children. He also brought stockings for all of the veterans who were in attendance as a thank you for their service.
It is so nice to be able to be a part of such a loving and giving church family as we have at Crockett Road Church of Christ. We would like to say "THANK YOU" to everyone who contributed to making the Christmas Party such a success. It was wonderful!
We would also like to recognize Clint & Jonna Satterwhite, Mary Jo Thomason, Holly Franklin, Amanda Lane, Kenyette Jenkins, Willette Rasure, Danial Plummer, Lisa Krumnow, Tiffany Bell, and Hailey Brooks for all the time and effort they put into working with the children in preparation for the Christmas play. Your efforts are making a big difference in the lives of the children. THANK YOU for all that you do to help mold the lives of these children so they will grow up to be faithful Christians.

The church hosted a Pizza Luncheon for the members on December 2nd after the morning worship service. We had 83 people attend which was pretty good since the annual Ladies Ornament Exchange was also being held at the same time. Everyone enjoyed pizza, salad, and some great entertainment as the "All Stars Banjo Band" put on a great show for everyone. (The Band had entertained the previous night at the Dogwood Jamboree, and they attended morning worship with us). The Band has some very talented musicians, and they are some of the most polite young people that you could ask to meet. They even had some of our members join in on a song by playing kazoos. haha

The Church hosted the annual "Trunk or Treat" after Wednesday night classes on October 31st. We had a nice crowd, especially considering the northern had blown in right before church, and it was pouring down rain. Since it was raining, the Trunk or Treat was moved inside to the Activity Building. Instead of opening their trunks, everyone put their baskets of candy on the tables and allowed the children to get all they wanted. It was a great turnout of folks, especially with the weather so bad.
The children looked so cute as they were dressed up as all kinds of things! All of the kids (as well as the adults) had a great time.
We would like to say "Thank You" to everyone who brought candy to ensure that the children had a great time at the Crockett Road Trunk or Treat.

We had a large number attend the Lads To Leaders Convention which was held in the Gaylord Texan Hotel in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex.

There were about 150 people who surprised Dan & Audrey at the celebration. The lady who introduced them over 50 years ago was even there! There is no way that either of them can know the impact that they have had on countless lives as they have lived their lives spreading the gospel and teaching the lost.
Congratulations Dan & Audrey! We Love You!
